MEET THE TEAM:

All staff at the Gladwin Ballet and Stage School hold an Enhanced DBS, are First Aid and Fire Safety trained and hold dance/theatre qualifications in their relevant subjects.

STAFF

Jessie Gladwin - PRINCIPAL & TEACHER

  Miss Jessie is the owner and principal of the Gladwin Ballet and Stage School. She is a fully qualified member of the British Association of Teachers of Dancing to an Associate level and is also trained is Acrotrix to a level 2. She has been a part of the school since the day she was born as her nanna, grandad and mother are all the previous owners of the school. Miss Jessie took over the school in 2020 and has continued to teach with their morals and methods.   

Amy Shute - VICE PRINCPIAL & TEACHER

 Miss Amy is our amazing vice principal. She is a fully qualified teacher in modern and tap to a BATD Associate level and furthered her training ADDICT Dance Academy., Miss Amy has been a part of the school since the age of 3 and is very passionate about passing on her experiences of working with industry professionals to our pupils to further their training. .As vice principal, Miss Amy takes the lead on our competition team, taking them to events to compete and showcasing their talent up and down the country.   

Ellen Crake - CONTENT MANAGER & TEACHER

 Miss Ellen has been a part of our school since a young age. She qualified in BATD associate Tap, Modern and Ballet with us before going to study further at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA). She has worked in numerous shows and events up and down the country and loves passing on the knowledge gained from these experiences to our pupils. Miss Ellen has taught for the school on and off since 2021 and has recently taken a more permanent role in the school working with our private lesson pupils.   

Nikki Robinson - SEN SUPPORT & TEACHER

Miss Nikki is one of our brilliant teachers who has been a part of the school since a young age. She is a qualified in BATD dance drama, ballet, tap and modern to an associate level and has been a teacher on and off for numerous years. On a weekly basis, Miss Nikki teaches Musical Theatre alongside Miss Caroline however she also covers other classes if/when needed. Miss Nikki also plays a big role when we attend events up and down the country by chaperoning backstage and helping with the running of competitions etc.  sses as and when needed.

Caroline Stephen - SAFEGUARDING LEAD & TEACHER

 Miss Caroline is one of our fabulous teachers who works with all ages at the school. She joined the school as a parent when bringing her children in 2017 and became a teacher in 2021. She teaches Musical Theatre alongside Miss Nikki and is Qualified Teacher Status Specialising in Drama Education. Miss Caroline has experience directing musicals and stage shows as well as experience performing on a regular basis with her husband and children in their band “B.O.C.K.S Set”.  

Lisa Gladwin - TEACHER

 Miss Lisa has worked at the school for over 40 years and is a member of the British Association of Teacher of Dancing at a Membership level. She has toured all over the world performing in many different countries and is the previous owner of the Gladwin Ballet and Stage School before stepping back and letting her daughter, Jessie, take over. Miss Lisa has years of experience in teaching and performing and although she has took a step back from the school, she plays a big part in the running of the school and events.  

Ellie Gadsby - TEACHER

 Miss Ellie is one of our fantastic teachers who works with all ages at the school. She is fully qualified teacher in modern, tap and ballet to a BATD Associate level. She has been a part of the school since the age of 3 and earned her place in many BATD scholarships as well as travelling up and down the country performing with Gladwins. She joined our teaching team in 2021 and has always had a passion for teaching and choreographing.   

Rebekah Liddle - TEACHER

 Rebekah has had a love of dance from a very early age,  training and competing in all genre since the age of 4.   She found a love for ballet and completed pre vocational training with Elmhurst, the London ballet Company and ballet boost before commencing her professional vocational training with Ballet theatre UK, where she completed a Diploma in classical ballet performance.  During her time with Ballet Theatre UK, Rebekah has performed in coppelia, Swan lake, wizard oz and the iconic Serenade. Rebekah is now ready to share her love of classical ballet and experience to inspire the next generation of dancers.   She is also training to be a Pilates instructor, progressing ballet technique instructor and  RAD certified Teacher, all of which will help her students to be strong, technical, classical dancers.

Ciara McLarnon - SUPPLY TEACHER

Ciara has been a part of our school since she was a child and when qualified, became one of our teachers in the school during her gap year. She is a qualified teacher in BATD associate Ballet, Tap and Modern and has performed up and down the country at competitions, championships and BATD scholarships. Ciara is now at for university however still covers classes when she is back home.

Michele Stewart SUPPLY TEACHER

Michele trained at the Gladwin Ballet and Stage School from a young age alongside Miss Lisa and qualified in BATD associates. Since then, Michele went on to own her own school in Morpeth for numerous years, where she inspired many children through her love and passion for dance. She has always been a huge supporter of our school and in passing years has brought her daughter and now her granddaughter, to train with us. Michele no longer has her own studio but still loves teaching and all things dance.
