Gladwin Ballet and Stage School - By Jonny Mann
To take part in any of our events, pupils must attend weekly general classes. We offer a range of styles throughout the week. Head on over to our "classes" section for more information
There are opportunities for pupils to take part in a minimum of 4 local and/or away competitions a year. If teachers think that a pupil is performing at a high standard, they may be chosen to participate in championships.
We take annual exams with the British Association of Teachers of Dancing in ballet, tap, modern and dance drama. If top marks are received, there is the possibility pupils will get chosen to compete at the BATD Scholarships
We offer the chance for all of our pupils to perform in 2 shows a year (hosted by us). As well as opportunities to perform at events up and down the country.
We invite industry professionals to our school to teach workshops to our pupils. This allows them to gain knowledge of the world of dance and performing arts, and they're lots of fun!
In the past we have had the likes of Matilda's Meesha Garbett and Pussycat Doll's Kimberly Wyatt teach our pupils.
We do a lot of fundraising to cover the cost of costumes and equipment etc for the pupils. We host movie nights, bake sales, pub quizzes and parties.
